Itinerary: For 2 Days Inca Trail To Machupicchu

First Day: Cusco To Ollantaytambo Then Machupicchu

We wake you at 4: am, then we ride the car for 1 hour 45 minutes to arrive at Ollantaytambo train station, then ride the train for almost 2 hours through the beginning of the Amazon jungle, and once we arrive at kilometer 104 we get ready for the hike but first passport control, and then we hike for 6 hours and 12 kilometers to Machupicchu.

So, we hike 3 hours uphill through the beginning of the Amazon jungle, then we arrive at some beautiful Inca fortress named Wiñayhuana located at 2600 masl (8,530 ft).

After this site, we have some lunch, afterward, we hike for 3 hours with some gentle parts and uphills to the sun gate to Machupicchu, and then, after enjoying the best views and photos, we ride the bus down Puente Ruinas.

Second Day: Machupicchu And Ollantaytambo Then Cusco City

We wake you up by 4:30 am, and then some breakfast, and afterward we walk to the bus station for 15 minutes to ride the bus by 5:30 am, so the way back to Machupicchu city, then some private tour for 3 hours, afterward is your free time,  so in your free time, you can climb up to Huaynapicchu mountain with booked tickets in advance, since the number of people is limited for hiking this nice mountain.

Also, you can go to the sun gate, which is free climbing, and enjoy the classic photos, and the hike takes a round trip of 2 hours, and also you can go to the Inca bridge or if you feel like more exploring, and then bus the way down to Aguas Calientes town and then train to Ollantaytambo, afterward car to Cusco city and finally we drop you off at your place in Cusco.

Note: If you want to hike to the sun gate or Inca bridge, you have to do it, before your tour in Machupicchu, since this is the new rule to follow in Machupicchu city.
