Day 1 Puerto Maldonado / Monkey Island / Hiking
Time to pick up from the airport / or land terminal transfer to the office where you can leave some luggage that will not need for the tour. Then we will have some lunch and afterward, we ride our motorboat for 20 minutes until we reach the island of the monkeys, a great opportunity to see 5 species of monkeys that inhabit this island.
Then we will be back to the lodge and along the ride boat time, we will watch some alligators with the help of our big flashlight, firstly we can see the red eyes of the alligators and your guide will explain everything related to the alligators, return to the lodge and have some dinner then spend the night in our comfortable lodge.
DAY 2.- Parrot Collpa / Tambopata Reserve โSandoval Lakeโ / Caimaneo
Today very early in the morning at 5:00 am we will visit the parrot Collpa la Cachuela, on a trip of approximately 50 minutes, where it is possible to see a variety of species of parrots that gather on the wall of the Madre de Dios river to eat some clay in a multicolored show of flights and screams, an experience that you will never forget.
After returning to the lodge for breakfast, then we will prepare to change our lodge on Lake Sandoval, we will spend a night inside the Tambopata reserve, with the Mejรญa family from our lodge we will travel 10 minutes by boat until we reach the shores of the port of Lake Sandoval, from where we will enter the Tambopata Reserve ยซSandoval Lakeยป in a walk of approximately 1 hour.
Then we will arrive at the lake where we will take a canoe to paddle to walk through this beautiful lake that houses a variety of birds and animals. So we arrive at the family lodge, where we will be accommodated in our rooms.
Then at noon, we will have lunch at Lake Sandoval, after lunch those who wish can bathe at Lake Sandoval without any danger, then we will return to our lodge, have dinner, and then a night walk to see some wild animals and insects that come out at night, then back to our lodge where we will spend the night in our comfortable lodge.
Day 3 Palm tree canopy / Tambopata Reserve โSandoval Lakeโ / return to Amazon Lodge
Wake up very early in the morning and take the rowing canoe to paddle along the Sandoval Lake until we reach a place where it is possible to see a palm lick, where hundreds of macaws come to eat the dry palm trees, which contain a high content of mineral salts necessary for digestion.
Then we will back to our family lodge, for breakfast and then we will take a walk along the trails of the Tambopata Reserve, and return for lunch, after lunch, we prepare to return to our lodge on our first night โAmazon Lodge Tambopataโ Accommodation in the rooms of our lodge, then we will do a night walk, return to the lodge for dinner, we will spend the night in our comfortable lodge.
Day 4 Transfer Lodge – Puerto Maldonado – Airport
After some breakfast, around 8:30 a.m. We will transfer you in our motorboat to Puerto Maldonado, and from there to the airport and/or bus terminal.
