Riding Horses To Salkantay Trek with Machupicchu is located at Cusco, Peru on the way down to Machu Picchu with riding the Andean strong horses, who are accustomed to the high altitude and cold weather of the Andes mountains, and also, they eat the type of grass that grows in these mountains, and then these horses are equipped with good saddles and stirrups for the comfortable trip of our customers.

Itinerary: Salkantay Horseback Riding Machupicchu 4 Days 3 Nights Peru

Day One: Cusco, Soraypampa, Humantay lake, Soirococha

The time to pick you up is by 5:am, then we go from Cusco by car for 3 hours and 30 minutes, arriving at the beginning of the Salkantay trek, at the place named Soraypampa, located at 3920 masl (12,861 ft) where we have some breakfast, afterward we go to Humantay lake on horses, this lake is located at 4,200 masl (13,799 ft).

Mainly is an hour and 30 minutes by horseback uphill to this lake Humantay, then you hike 10 minutes gentle trail to the Humantay lake, then explore the lake, then the way back is downhill, which is hiking downhill for an hour and 20 minutes, no riding horses because is downhill.

Then, have some lunch at this place named Soraypampa, located at 3920masl (12,861ft), then time to ride our horses uphill for 2 hours to the campsite named Soiroccocha, located at 4,400 masl (14,435ft)

 Day Two: Salkantay Pass, Huayracmachay, Ccolpampa

The time to wake up is by 5:am, then have some breakfast, afterward time to ride the horses for 20 minutes uphill to the Salkantay pass located at 4,630 masl (15,190ft). Here are good views of the snow-capped mountains, like Salkantay and Humantay,  then we ride horses downhill for 2 hours and 30 minutes to the lunch place, named Huayracmachay located at 3,912masl (12,834 ft).

Then, ride the horses still downhill with some little gentle parts for 3 hours to the campsite named Collpapampa located at 2,850 masl (9,350ft).

Day Three: Transport To Hydroelectric Train Station Then Hiking To Aguas Calientes Town

This day is the end of the horses, today after some breakfast we ride a private car for 3 hours to the place named hydro-electric train station, located at 1,890 masl (6,200ft)

Then, we have some lunch at one of the restaurants at the train station, or just some boxed lunch, then we hike for 3 hours and 20 minutes, through a nice valley of Machupicchu, and the trail is shaded by trees and hiking is a side of the train track, then arriving at Aguas Calientes town for the overnight located at 2,000 masl (6,700 ft).

• Private transport from the camp to the hydro-electric train station
• The third night is in a hotel

• No horses today

Day Four: Machupicchu Tour, Then Train Ride To Ollantaytambo, Then Transport To Cusco

Wake-up time is by 5:am, then some breakfast, then we go by car for 30 minutes up to Machupicchu, then first we go to the viewpoint, then some tour in Machupicchu for 3 hours.

Afterward, we are back to Aguas Calientes town by car, then have some lunch on your own, then in the afternoon, we ride a train to Ollantaytambo train station for 2 hours, then by car for another an hour and 40 minutes to Cusco city.

This day is included:
